A Picture Perfect Elopement In South Lake Tahoe

Shinne and Randy became engaged on the 5th anniversary of their relationship. A first trip to Tahoe, during winter, enticed them to return for a summer elopement - inspired by the crystal clear waters of Lake Tahoe.

Their celebration of love and commitment took them to a variety of spectacular locations around the lake - from a waterfall high above Emerald Bay to LED night kayaking with their videographers, Dax and Pao of Dax Victorino Films.

Saying they "fell in love by chance but are here today by choice," Shinne and Randy's dear friend Casey officiated the sweet ceremony that included a few tears from both the bride and groom.

Shinne's off the shoulder lace gown and gorgeous long hair, styled by Nancy Rice Artistry, were a perfect complement to the wispy arch of foliage that framed the couple against the backdrop of the lake as they said their vows. The Hytch also set up a beautiful "moody bohemian" tablescape for Shinne and Randy to enjoy snacks, cake, and a champagne toast on the dock after their ceremony.

Eager to explore more of the area, the couple also rented a boat to spend the day on Lake Tahoe and then visited Upper and Lower Sardine Lakes (2 hours north of Tahoe in the Lost Sierra.) Shinne calls their elopement week "the best vacation of our lives" and is especially grateful to all the special vendors who made it possible.
