Rustic Handcrafted Wedding At Greenhorn Ranch
Zach and Annie said 'I Do' in front of family and friends in a beautiful rustic wedding ceremony at Greenhorn Ranch. No detail was left untouched, and every guest held a meaningful role in their special day. Holly Turville of Holly Fleur had the honor of both coordinating the wedding and providing the florals. She shared with us all of the details and just how amazing this sweet couple is, read on for more about this Zach and Annie's stunning day.
Greenhorn Ranch is set in Qunicy, nestled in the Lost Sierra. Annie grew up in Washoe Valley and has been an avid equestrian since early childhood. She knew she wanted to marry Zach outdoors on a ranch and fell in love with Greenhorn the moment they first visited.
Greenhorn Ranch is a charming ranch resort that boasts a beautifully renovated lodge with 12 rooms and 16 cabins to accommodate guests. Annie and Zach loved this location not only for their love of the ranch property and its amenities for their guests to enjoy. Hello, fly fishing, horseback trail rides, campfires, games, swimming, and hikes in the hills outside of the ranch! They also loved that they could host many of their guests accommodations on-site. The weekend was filled with customized events tailored to their group and making the best memories. Zach and Annie are ALL ABOUT THE OUTDOORS! They enjoy traveling and exploring mountains and simply being together in nature making Greenhorn Ranch the perfect wedding venue destination.
The beautiful green pasture at the ranch faces the mountains and was the perfect location for their ceremony. A teepee was used for the ceremony arch and adorned with lush greenery and beautiful blooms. Annie, a lifelong equestrian, met her father at the aisle after riding in on horseback!
There were many meaningful touches throughout the ceremony. Zach's uncle united the couple, the attendees helped read a poem led by the minister and there was a ceremonial "watering of the tree", to unite the couple before they said their vows. The ceremony perimeter was lined with vintage ladders that were adorned with family heirloom linens and decor.
For the reception, the wooden table names were created with the names of lakes that they have traveled to together. Zach and Annie's table was lined with antique linens from the bride's mother and draped with an elk hide that Zach harvested in Colorado. The antique linens were used in a variety of places throughout the wedding reception. Liberty Food and WIne catered and guests danced the night away to the sounds of The Novelists.
One of our favorite parts of the wedding was the adorable miniature burros that attended the reception carrying baskets of custom beer brewed by the bride's brother. The tables were decorated with gorgeous glass bottles that the bride's father had found and saved over the years, this was truly a family affair! Zach and Annie also celebrated their nuptials by debuting their new photo booth business the Whinny Wagon Photo Booth!
No detail was left untouched at this rustic ranch wedding and we love the sweet, personal touches that the bride and groom included in their beautiful reception! Congratulations to Zach and Annie!
