Tahoe to every one of our brides has a very special place in their hearts. For Takara and Cole this was the place that Cole proposed to Takara, they spent many years together in Tahoe and Truckee. Cole proposed to Takara on a hike in the northern Tahoe area, and they knew that they needed to tie the knot somewhere close to that spot.
The couple choose to get ready at the historic Richardson House in Truckee. An adorable Victorian style house that was built when the area was still the wild wild west. The couple wanted something with charm and history for their wedding. The Richerdson house was the best choice for the whole bridal party.
One of Takara and Cole’s requirements for the venue was for it to be close to their proposal spot. The best place for them was Dancing Pines. This venue has the perfect outdoor forest vibe, with the tall trees and the little Truckee that runs through. The ceremony site is so gorgeous you would not believe they didn’t have to hike in to get there.
When Takara and Cole started dating, the first thing they bonded over was their love for dogs. So of course they had their pup as part of their big day. Dressed with doggy flower colors they stole the show. The pups obviously wanted to be a part of every aspect of the wedding, even the first dance.
The couple chose a bright and warm color scheme that fits their personalities and love perfectly. The warm tones complemented the bride and the space so well. She used her best colors for her bridal portrait. The best thing a bride can do is to know her colors and what will look best in the photo, Takara understood this assignment.
The couple wanted an epic exit and personalized newlywed photos. So, They used a classic convertible for their getaway car. The photos from this turned out so well they look like the happy ending of a movie.
