What brings you the greatest joy in your life?
My partner in life (and family)! Snow Days (AKA Pow days)! And crossing off anything on my to-do list!

What brought you to Tahoe?
I moved to Lake Tahoe from North Carolina when I was 18 to become a pro snowboarder (and go to college). I had traveled all over the country and to over 22 countries, and Tahoe was by far my favorite place!

What is a must-see hidden gem in Lake Tahoe?
I love hiking up Eagle Rock and tell a lot of our clients to do this. It is quick (I can do it with my morning coffee), but the views are insane, and it reminds me of why I live in this area!

Describe Lake Tahoe to someone that has never been here…
A crystal clear tropical-looking lake with massive, perfectly round boulders that look like dinosaur eggs!

Tahoe lifestyle: winter or summer?
I am winter all the way! 15 ski resorts around the lake, most with lake views–that is insane!

If you were not a wedding planner, what would you do?
Before I was a planner, I built and designed snowboard parks (for over five years and throughout college). It was my favorite job, so I would go back to that. I was the first female park designer in the country of Chile, in parts of Oregon and Canada, and the first female builder at some of our Local Tahoe Resorts!

What inspires your work?
My clients! I love seeing their faces when they walk into their reception space for the first time. I love coming up with new designs and fun ideas. I love that no weddings are alike, which inspires me to keep going!

What is a fun fact about your company?
The fact that we are professional party-throwers! Not many people get to say that.

What is the career highlight you are most proud of?
I am so proud of myself for building a company from the ground up. I could not find a job that gave me the flexibility I needed for my lifestyle, so I designed the life I wanted and built a company around that!

What is your go-to conversation starter with a potential client?
Why do you want to get married in Tahoe? That is the first question I usually ask because it gives me insight into their life!

Boho pink and green bouquet

How would you describe the perfect day in Lake Tahoe?
2.5 feet of snow and the first chair on KT-22 at the Palisades Tahoe with your best friends.

What are you most proud of?
Monique, my lead planner at Epic Thyme! She is amazing, and I do not think she has ever made a mistake!

Who inspires you the most?
My mother! She raised my brother and me as a single mom in Miami (we went through hurricanes, home invasion robberies, and more)! She speaks multiple languages and was a model when we lived in Miami. Then at 39, we moved to the North Carolina/Tennessee area, and she became a cop, firefighter, and hostage negotiator! She would pull up to the fire in her cop car and change into her firefighting gear in the parking lot. MIND BLOWN! Remember, she was a model, so that was a sight to see! Everyone thought she was our sister.

What is your life motto?
HAVE THE BEST DAY EVER!!!!!

What was the most recent thing that made you laugh?

My dog, Potato! He makes me laugh 24-7.

Contemporary place setting

What’s the most useless talent you have?
No talent is useless, but I can crack an egg with one hand! Crack-BAM!

What is the closest thing to real magic?
Pow days (again)!

What was your go-to activity during quarantine?
WORK! I felt like I was the only one working. Every wedding we planned was changed at least three times, so we basically planned three weddings for every wedding! But other than that, I would say reorganizing every inch of my house.

What kind of wedding guest are you?
A vegetarian one, but only 75% of the time.

Any song you can add to our brides’ and grooms’ budding wedding playlist?
The Cure – Just Like Heaven.

Working in the wedding industry is not for the faint of heart. So how do you rest and rejuvenate?
Yoga and meditation every morning.

What is something people might not know about you?
Even though I am super outgoing and considered an open book, I am also a private person, so if you do not ask, you will never know! I take secrets seriously, and when I was young, I would NEVER kiss and tell!

Any four-legged friends in your home?
POTATO!! My German Shepard!
