Get To Know Eats Cooking Co.

We’re excited to share about one of our incredibly talented caterers, Eats Cooking Company.

Tell us about your business? What do you do and what makes it special?

We custom tailor our services to really provide the best experience for each couple. While we always do focus on the best ingredients presented in a beautiful and fresh manner, we strive to create a unique offering that suites the needs of each individual couple in a bespoke manner.

What would you like to share with future couples?

We have somehow gotten pigeon holed as a non traditional catering company (not always in a beneficial manner) I want people to realize, yes we do offer things that aren’t your traditional buffet wedding chaffing dish line up, such as large paella dishes, yet we do offer approachable healthy and fresh catering options that most couples would enjoy. We offer uniqe presentations as well as plated, family style and buffet.

What brings you the greatest joy in your life?

Cultivating relationships with our clients, other wedding professionals and within our EATS cooking co staff.
What brought you to Tahoe?

I have been coming ever since I was 9 years old to what was then Adidas, now nike, tennis camps at Granlibakken. I move to Atlanta at age 8….yet I always, even as a child, felt tahoe was always more my home and my people than Atlanta ever was.

What is a must-see hidden gem in Lake Tahoe?

the new bike trail in incline, speedboat beach or eagle rock….or a backyard party at a locals house….love the people here….all time.

Describe Lake Tahoe to someone that has never been here.

Shockinly beautiful and immense lake of the Clearest, cleanest water on earth encircled by towering snow capped peaks.

Tahoe lifestyle: winter or summer?

Summer…or Fall, Locals summer is the best. Weather is perfect everyday, work has calmed down and my work schedule has calmed down as well.

We have a fun food truck/trailer featuring world cuisines in a bowl. We serve healthy whole ingredients and feature GF/Vegan as well as humanely raised meats. Fresh, flavorful and healthy. We are very proud of our food truck and the following it has created.

What’s the most useless talent you have?

I have the ability to manage people in high energy, stressful situations without losing my cool. I think my employees really appreciate that!

What is the closest thing to real magic?

Music…duh.

What was your go-to activity to do outside of work?

Trail running. It really helps me meditate and lose myself in the moment in nature. Or skating down to dark horse to see great people and enjoy some coffee.

What kind of wedding guest are you?

laid back go wit the flow….if the timing is a little off from the printed schedule im not stressing….just make sure there is sierra nevada on tap and were all good.

Working in the wedding industry is not for the faint of heart. So how do you rest and rejuvenate?

My family and I go down to Baja to camp in our RV. There, with our three dogs we camp on picturesque remote beaches and just spend time together. Often three is no cell signal, just all of us with footballs, paddle boards, snorkel gear, hot dogs and beers on a remote gorgeous beach teaming with fish and nature…heaven on earth ,everything is perfect here.
