      ABOUT

      Music in Tahoe was founded in 2008 by Tahoe-local Isaac Freed, a formally trained musician and stellar DJ/emcee. Today, Music in Tahoe has grown into a highly talented team of DJ’s, musicians, and sound/lighting engineers who work collectively to provide a highly personalized experience for clients who want music to tell the story of their relationship and guide the journey of their wedding day. More than simply wedding DJ’s, our team is creating a personalized soundtrack for your big day. We not only curate playlists but mix/blend/beat match, play live music, create custom arrangements of favorite songs, write original compositions, and deploy the right technology to create an unforgettable event for each of our clients. 

      With musicians who have logged serious tour miles and stage time with well-known acts, as well as actively performing in the local Tahoe/Reno music scene, Music in Tahoe is fluent across a wide range of genres including jazz, classical, Americana, funk, soul, top 40, hip hop, and Latin styles. Working collaboratively with each couple, we use a meticulous pre-event planning process to ensure that each musical aspect of the event matches your vision and flows seamlessly with the timeline of your big day. From the most formal indoor soirees to completely off-grid affairs, Music in Tahoe specializes in creating magical musical moments that make for a truly unforgettable experience.

      We knew what we wanted and didn’t want from our wedding DJ, and Isaac was the man for the job! He set up an amazing dance floor with lights, had not one issue with sound system through multiple transitions, had wonderful communication before and during the wedding day, acted as a fantastic MC and best of all he had everyone of all ages out on the dance floor! He knew exactly what we wanted without us even fully knowing what that was ourselves.       Isaac from Music in Tahoe was an absolute dream of a DJ to work with! From our initial consultation call he was very caring, professional, and accommodating to our needs.
