My flower journey started while I attended the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. There I got my degree in sustainable agriculture and I learned how to farm and grow flowers. I began pressing flowers about 7 years ago just for a fun experiment. I mounted them in a frame from a thrift store and was instantly inspired. I played around with flowers as a professional florist for about 3 years where I learned the mechanics of floral design, all while preserving flowers on the side for myself.
Black Botanical Press came to fruition in 2020 as an Instagram profile. Today it is my full-time job and I love every second of it. I want this business to provide a keepsake that is not only a stunning work of art that will last forever, but an item that holds in memories while giving a second life to flowers. I believe in being an environmentally friendly business and something everyone can afford. I never use any chemicals when preserving flowers and I am always open to creating whatever vision you may have.
I am forever grateful for customers putting their trust in me to preserve their flowers. I do not take that job lightly and together we will create something truly beautiful.
