A wedding is the most memorable day of a couple’s life. Add in a camera crew, a Bravo reality television show cast, and Lisa Vanderpump and you have yourself a made for TV wedding! Tahoe Unveiled vendor Twenty Mile House shared with us their unforgettable experience with the wedding of Vanderpump Rules’ Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney. The beautiful day was captured by Gina and Ryan Photography.
Katie and Tom were wonderful to work with while planning their wedding. They were so happy and just wanted it to be a fun and beautiful day. From the first time meeting them in May to the end of their wedding extravaganza in August they were fun and relaxed and seemed to just enjoy their special moments.
When August came, the production team turned up a couple of days in advance to set up and prepare for shooting the wedding. There were around 65 crew members involved in the wedding. They turned the upstairs of our historic General Store into their technological hub for production. It was incredible to witness the behind the scenes of what it takes to produce a television show. The crew were hard working and dedicated to making Katie and Tom’s day a success.
Tom and Katie hosted the entire wedding at Twenty Mile House starting with their rehearsal dinner. Guests relaxed at tables under the trees and picnic rugs on the grass while sipping on margaritas and enjoying a delicious taco bar.
The wedding day itself was nothing short of magical! The floral design was an important focus of Katie’s to create the look and feel she wanted for her wedding day. Katie worked with our local flower design creative partner Gray’s Flower Garden to design an incredible floral display. The ceremony design was a highlight with elegant flowers creating a stunning hanging backdrop to the arch and vows. There was not a dry eye during the ceremony while Lisa Vanderpump officiated as Katie and Tom shared their love for each other and their dreams for the future.
Pangaea, our local catering creative partner, worked hard over the course of the wedding, not only creating a delicious gourmet dinner for the wedding reception, but also feeding the crew and production team over the entire three days.
The reception dinner was held in our gardens, lit up by spectacular custom designed lighting created by the Twenty Mile House and Vanderpump production team. Katie and Tom shared a romantic first dance under the stars as their friends and family celebrated along side them. It was a beautiful evening as they danced the rest of the night away under the beautiful starry mountain skies.
Congratulations to Tom and Katie who are celebrating their third anniversary this weekend on August 17th!
