Sometimes life takes you to the places where you are meant to be.
Lois moved to Lake Tahoe from Virginia five years ago to be closer to her dad and, within two months, met Matt through mutual friends. And they’ve been pretty much inseparable ever since!
Matt grew up at Squaw Valley and many of their numerous Northern California outdoor adventures have been spent there. After a surprise camping trip proposal at Stampede Reservoir, the couple started thinking about a small and intimate Lake Tahoe elopement.
Hooking up with Reno-based planner The Hytch, Lois and Matt held a small and stress-free elopement at Olympic Valley Stables – with just a few friends and the iconic peaks of Squaw Valley in the background.
A tri-pod and laptop configuration allowed additional guests to attend virtually, including the bride’s mom in Virginia.
