A wedding proposal is the start of the sweetest journey to the best day of your life. After the engagement celebrations slow down (which, in our opinion, you should ride that party train until the wedding day!) and your wedding planning kicks into high gear our advice is to schedule an engagement session with your photographer. An engagement session is the best way to get to know your photographer. It allows you and your fiance time to spend time and get comfortable in front of the camera. Practice makes perfect, right? You can also use your beautiful photos for your save the dates!

Lake Tahoe is a special place for many. Brooke grew up coming to Tahoe and Tommy quickly understood what made this area so unique after moving to California from the East Coast. They are also getting married here so it made the perfect location for their engagement session. We took their photos at a dock that they visit during their trips to Tahoe making it even more special. Brooke’s parents live just a walking distance away and the venue for their wedding is hinted in the background of a few of these shots.
I am always thrilled to get some time shooting with a couple before wedding day. It amazing how just an hour or so together can create such a beautiful bond. These two were no exception!
