A Stunning and Stormy Summer Elopement

Rocky and Alisa, from Orlando, Florida, traveled to Park City, Utah, for their surprise engagement and then picked the mountains surrounding Lake Tahoe for their elegant, lakeview elopement. And while this is the first time we've heard "It's too damn hot in Florida!" (the groom's words) as the reason for getting married in Lake Tahoe - it makes

perfect

sense to us!

Of course, the couple, who met through mutual friends, also love adventure and the outdoors, so they extended their Tahoe elopement trip, allowing time to enjoy the area's many activities with the close family members joining them for their big day.

On elopement day, the mountain scenery indeed took center stage, with Lake Tahoe's granite boulders and sparkling blue waters on full display. The bride looked absolutely captivating in a white sheath gown with a plunging neckline and gorgeous, chapel-length train. Her flawless hair and makeup was styled by Megan Cary Artistry. The groom showed his subtly playful style with a pink skull and roses lining in his custom-tailored suit jacket and coordinating bow tie.

Only immediate family joined Rocky and Alisa for their elopement, a decision that fit with their low-key personalities and the intimate vision for their nuptials. Uncle Autie served as both bagpiper and officiant, adding a special and meaningful element to the ceremony. Following the couple's vows, the sweetest first kiss and a lakeview toast sealed the deal on a picture-perfect day - all captured in their stunning photos by VILD Photography.
