A Relaxed Yet Elegant Wedding in South Lake Tahoe

Meredith and Nick's South Lake Tahoe wedding was a stay-cation for these two longtime Tahoe residents but a destination event for their families and friends who traveled from New England, South Carolina, and other locales around the country to attend the celebration. For many of the guests, it was their first visit to Lake Tahoe and a boat trip to Emerald Bay and the outdoor ceremony and reception demonstrated just a few of the reasons why Meredith and Nick have chosen to call Lake Tahoe home.

With "relaxed elegance" as their vision, Meredith and Nick carefully selected local Lake Tahoe wedding vendors to bring their special day to life, including photographer Courtney Aaron who, as always, captured all the love and details so beautifully. The magical gardens at Revive Coffee and Wine provided the perfect backdrop on this warm summer evening, offering a woodsy atmosphere dressed up with feathery florals, shantung silk linens, and romantic outdoor lighting.

Meredith's chevron lace wrap dress by Rue de Seine, with a plunging neckline and bell sleeves, was a focal point of the wedding, reflecting the bohemian vibe of the occasion. The bride walked down the aisle on the arm of her mother and father to an acoustic violinist's version of "Ripple" by the Grateful Dead. blended traditional and non-traditional elements into the ceremony, including a hand-fasting ritual. The bride also carried her beloved grandmother's bible, which had previously been incorporated into the weddings of her great-grandmother, mother, and sister.

A two-tiered confetti cake and delicious dessert bar, including the groom's favorite chocolate chip cookies, satisfied every sweet tooth at the party. Enjoying these scrumptious late-night snacks, the couple and their guests danced the night away to a mix of the Grateful Dead, Phish, and Carolina "beach music." Here at Tahoe Unveiled we always say there's nothing better than being invited to a Lake Tahoe wedding and, after such a sweet and fun celebration, we have a feeling Meredith and Nick will be welcoming friends and family back to Tahoe to visit for years to come.
