A Mountaintop Elopement With A Cruise On The Wild Goose II

The iconic Wild Goose II, a timeless wooden boat, made a guest appearance at Richelle and Martin's Lake Tahoe elopement and we couldn't be happier about it. This local Reno couple had originally planned for a large summer wedding in Sun Valley but Covid prompted a pivot to an absolutely perfect elopement weekend on the lake.

After booking a room at the Cedar Crest Cottages on the West Shore, Richelle and Martin took the Wild Goose II to Garwoods restaurant on Carnelian Bay.  From there, a car took them to meet officiant

and photographer Jocelyn Noel and they all hiked together to a nearby fire lookout. They had the entire location to themselves during the beautiful pre-sunset ceremony and then they took the boat to the East Shore for their first sunset as a married couple - and epically romantic photos on the beach and boulders.

Richelle and Martin still plan to celebrate with friends and family in Sun Valley next year, but eloping gave them the opportunity to not delay their special day. And, from Martin's boots to Richelle with flowers in her hair, and of course, the best of the lake, it was a perfect one in every way.
