There is nothing more exciting as a wedding guest than opening up an invitation to find that the wedding is being held in an amazing locale, especially when that location is Tahoe! There is endless beauty in our special corner of California and what better way to take advantage of that than to celebrate your wedding weekend at one of our beaches. Surrounded by stunning hues of crystal clear water, crisp blue skies, and the most amazing weather you could imagine - our beaches are pretty incredible!

Kick-off your wedding weekend or celebrate your nuptials post-wedding by gathering all of your friends and family at some of our favorite beaches on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Read on for the perfect list for you and your guests.

Sand Harbor

The East Shore of Lake Tahoe offers some of the most dramatic and breathtaking views in all of Tahoe. Sand Harbor is not only a well-known beach on Tahoe, but one of the most beautiful beaches you will ever experience. Have guests head here for a gathering to celebrate your wedding and spend some time at the beach. Sand Harbor offers a covered patio area overlooking the lake that can be reserved in advance, making it the perfect location for a welcome party.

Commons Beach

Commons Beach is in the heart of Tahoe City. The beach offers a large grassy area and is used to accommodating large groups, Commons hosts weekly concerts on Sundays in the summer. The beach also has a group barbecue area that can accommodate up to 75 people. Adjacent to that is an amphitheater that will seat another 65. Reserve the BBQ area for your welcome gathering and celebrate your nuptials along the shores of Tahoe just in time for the sunset.

Hyatt Regency

The beach at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe is a perfect site for a welcome party when all you want to do is show up and celebrate. Have the Hyatt take care of all the details and gather your friends and family at their outdoor Lakeside Beach Bar & Grill right on the sand. Nibble on small bites and drinks at the bar where the lake serves up an amazing backdrop.

Skylandia Beach

Skylandia Beach is located just outside Tahoe City. It has stellar lake views, the perfect Tahoe beach, and a pier! It offers a picnic area overlooking the lake that you can reserve for the perfect casual lunch spot. Invite guests to bring beach chairs and towels and make it a Tahoe beach day! Looking for something a little more active? Have Tahoe Adventure Company setup a beach day for your guests. They can bring kayaks and paddleboards, set up chairs and even bring beach towels. One Fine Day Events recently helped one of their couples celebrate with a post-wedding beach day at Skylandia with a catered lunch and full beach day with Tahoe Adventure Company. It was the perfect way for the couple to celebrate and say farewell to their guests.

Wherever you and your guests end up celebrating your wedding, getting married in Tahoe means you've already made the best choice... after picking your spouse, of course! Celebrate and enjoy the amazing beauty Tahoe has to offer and spend some time on our amazing beaches!
