Our Favorite Ways To Spend Your Valentine's Day In Lake Tahoe

Valentine's Day is full of love and romance, so why not add a little adventure and snow to the mix as well? Tahoe is known for its fantastic array of activities, and we think there is no better way to spend your Valentine's Day than getting out and enjoying what the area has to offer. The best part of spending your Valentine's Day in Tahoe is you can spend your day adventuring and then unwind by the fireplace with a romantic dinner or relaxing evening. To help you find the perfect adventure, we created the ideal Tahoe Valentine's Day dates just for you and your love.

HIKE UP AN APPETITE

Looking for a way to get outdoors but a little more mellow? Book a sunset snowshoe tour with Tahoe Adventure Company and enjoy the gorgeous purple alpenglow Tahoe is known for on your hike. What a fun way to get out and enjoy the views on Valentine's Day! Reward yourself with a glass of wine and apps by the fire at the Hyatt's Lone Eagle Grill in Incline Village. Bundle up at their outdoor fireplace and get cozy while the sun goes down over the lake.

TOAST TO YOUR LOVE

With the most stunning mid-mountain cross country center in the country, Northstar offers 35 kilometers of scenic trails for all levels of skiers. New to cross country skiing? We think there is nothing more fun than taking a lesson together and learning a new sport! Then head up for Lake Tahoe's only ski up bubbly experience - Tost. Enjoy a glass of complimentary champagne and take in the sights. After a day on the mountain, reward yourself by spending the afternoon at the Ritz Carlton's Spa located at Northstar's mid-mountain. Book a couple's massage and relax together after a day on the slopes.

SKATE & STAY

Lace-up your skates and feel like a kid again at the Resort at Squaw Creek. We are confident this is the most beautiful ice rink we've ever seen. Set amongst the mountains and towering pines, this rink is the perfect start to your Valentine's Day date. After your skate, book a stay at PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn for the ultimate weekend getaway. Dine, relax, and show your dog some Valentine's Day love at this dog-friendly hotel!

SKI, STRETCH, & RELAX

Click into your skis and feel the wind on your face as you speed down the slopes at Squaw Valley or Alpine Meadows (your ticket works at both resorts!). What better way to spend Valentine's Day than admiring the gorgeous views and enjoying the snow?! Ski until your legs give out and head to High Camp for their Sunset Happy Hour. Make sure you make a reservation and toast to your love as the sun sets over Tahoe. Take the gondola back down to the village and relax those tired muscles at Wanderlust for one of their rejuvenating yoga classes. Ahh, sounds like the perfect day to us.

A NIGHT IN

Planning a more low-key date night? Order a charcuterie board from Platterfare and pick up some gorgeous flowers from one of our favorite Tahoe florists for the perfect evening! Don't forget to pop into Cornerstone Bakery for some sweet treats and enjoy a cozy night at home.

Whatever your idea of the perfect Valentine's Day date is, we hope you spend it in Tahoe enjoying the views and your love.
