Our Favorite Tahoe Wedding Weekend Activities

At Tahoe Unveiled, our locally-based team loves getting outside and taking part in the amazing adventures our home has to offer just as much as we love weddings (which is a lot)! In this post, we have created a list of the best Tahoe activities for you and your wedding guests. And you can be sure - whatever the season - there is always something exciting for you and your guests to enjoy!

Set Sail: Book a sail with Tahoe Sailing Charters for your guests on Lake Tahoe. Captain Tyler and crew will treat you to an amazing experience on the water. Tahoe Sailing Charters offers complimentary snacks and beverages or you could plan ahead and order a charcuterie 'Dockbox' from Truckee-based Platterfare.

Hit the Slopes: Having a winter wedding? Head to one of the thirteen world-class ski resorts that grace the mountains above the shores of Tahoe. If Squaw Valley is your wedding destination, have guests spend the morning on the slopes and then meet up at PlumpJack for their famous craft cocktails as a apres-ski welcome party.

Tee Off: A little bit of healthy competition is the way to get the wedding weekend ball rolling, especially if you love to golf! Lake Tahoe offers a wide array of courses for you and your guests. Set up a tournament at Northstar or Tahoe Donner for your guests to meet, greet, and tee off together.

Hit the Trails: Organize a group hike or snowshoe for your guests. There are plenty of trails of all levels in the Tahoe Basin and getting active in the great outdoors is a fantastic way for your guests to get to know each other before the wedding. Follow up your hike with warm drinks at the Ritz Carlton's outdoor fireplaces or brews in downtown Truckee at Alibi Ale Works.

Go With The Flow: Gather up your guests for some pre-wedding relaxation and head over to a Tahoe yoga studio. Yoga is a terrific way for you and your wedding party to relax and recharge together before your big day. If you're getting married in the summer, you might even set up a paddleboard yoga class - a super unique way to kick off your wedding weekend! Our team loves Truckee Yoga Collective, Namaste, and Alpenflow yoga studios, all in Truckee.

Your wedding is a special time for both you and your guests and an exciting weekend will be easy to fill with all of the activities Lake Tahoe has to offer. With these tips from our local Tahoe Unveiled team - start planning your itinerary now!
