A Spring Apres Ski Menu from Blend Catering

Spring is in the air and Spring skiing is underway on the ski hill - and this, of course, has us in the mood for a late brunch and delicious apres fare! Reno's best caterer, Blend Catering, has shared with us a few simple, satisfying, and healthy recipes that are perfect for Sunday brunch... and beyond.

The centerpiece of the menu is Shakshuka, a traditional Libyan dish that has strong family connections for Blend's Josh Deri. Josh's father is originally from Isreal, where Shakshuka is a common meal. Inspired by his father and aunt's renditions, Josh created this recipe 12 years ago before going to culinary school.

Note: Shakshuka includes a fair amount of well balanced spice and heat, pairing well with a little "hair of the dog" if that is something you need!

For a well rounded brunch, Josh suggests pairing this dish with a fresh and bright Isreali Salad, Isreali Guacamole, and a traditional hummus. For a crowd, add Josh's addictive Labne & Zaatar with pita or ciabatta for dipping.

All the recipes follow below and our mouths are watering just thinking about all of this delicious fare! Be sure to check out Blend Catering's listing on our vendor guide for more of their creative and inspiring menus. Enjoy!
