5 Epic Photo Booth Tips We Wish We'd Known Sooner

So you’re thinking about hiring the award-winning photo booth company, Epics Photo Booth, for your upcoming wedding.  Like who wouldn’t, right? Not only do they offer a high-end photo booth experience, but their on-site booth provides everything from digital photos, videos, GIFs, and boomerangs – sent instantly to your guests. Oh, and don't forget the good old-fashioned print photos! But you might still have a few questions. For example, how many hours should you have your photo booth, and when should you start? In this post, Epics Photo Booth shares 5 photo booth tips we wish we’d known sooner!

Tip 1: Rental Time

Most of Epics Photo Booth’s rentals are for three or four hours. They recommend a three-hour rental for up to 150 guests, a four-hour rental for 150+ guests, and a five-hour rental for 250+ guests. They typically set up during dinner. The dance floor and photo booth open once dinner is finished and your guests have made their speeches. Need more time? You're in luck because Epics Photo Booth loves setting up for a cocktail hour. You can also book the Epics booth for one hour during cocktail hour and return after dinner. A four-hour booking is perfect for this split service with idle time in between!

Tip 2: Guest Book Service

Looking for a second set of photos or that little something extra? Epics’ guest book service is the perfect addon worth its weight in gold. And here’s how it works: You select and purchase the guest book, and they take care of the rest. You’ll get a set of printed photos placed in your book, and they help get your guests to sign a sweet message for you. Also, don’t worry about bringing tape or markers; they supply that too. If this isn’t the perfect way to relive your memorable night, we don’t know what is!

Tip 3: Customization

It’s your big day, and while everything else about your reception is cohesive and beautiful, your photo booth should be no exception. Epics customize each printed photo template for their couples. So you just send them your wedding invitation, website, or save the date, and they will do their best to make your printed photos match. But if you are looking for something truly custom, their customized photo booth screen is definitely the way to go! And it’s a great way to add that extra touch to your special day. Backdrops can also be customized with a wooden or neon sign and you can even add your floral arrangement to the mix!

Tip 4: Photo Booth Space and Requirements

Epics Photo Booth is no stranger to the challenges of holding a wedding in the Lake Tahoe region, so they can indeed adapt to most venues and situations. They can operate with no Wi-Fi, at outside venues, and even go up a gondola to set up on the top of a mountain. Their booth is an open-air, modern booth with dual screens. This means your guests spend less time waiting around for their turn and more time taking photos or getting back to the dance floor. The booth has a footprint of about 8’x8’x8’ and ideally is placed against a wall and near power. In short, their booth is beautiful, classic, and fits seamlessly into any wedding!

Tip 5: Prints and Social Sharing

One of the most common questions is, can the booth do both physical and digital prints? And the answer is, yes, absolutely! The Epics booth provides instant professional-quality prints. In addition, you and your guests will be able to take the prints as a souvenir right away. Their most popular size for the printed photos is 2x6 strips or the larger 4x6 photos. Your rental also includes a personal website of your digital images that updates in real-time. As your guests take photos, the digital versions are added to the site throughout your event. Pretty cool, right? Their booth has two screens, a screen in the front for taking photos and one in the back for social sharing. They assist you and your guests on both screens. So when your guests go to the back screen, their attendant will ask them which prints they would like and then text or email them a link to the mini-site, where they can see all of the photos. Couples also can receive all of their photos on a flash drive post-event in the mail - a great way to get a second set of wedding photos!
