Stunning Simplicity At This South Lake Tahoe Microwedding

Adrienne and Colin are two water-loving adventurers whose romance blossomed while competing together in the Trans Tahoe Relay, a six person relay swim across Lake Tahoe, so it made perfect sense that they would get married at the lake. And because their families have been close friends for 20 years, their summer microwedding in South Lake Tahoe became an incredibly intimate celebration of friendship, family, and love.

The groom grew up visiting the rustic lakefront cabin that served as the venue for their intentionally low key, comfortable nuptials. Adding to the significance of the venue, Adrienne and Colin infused numerous personal touches into each and every detail of their day.

VILD Photography was hired to photograph the wedding and, for the most part, Colin and Adrienne let the scenery of the lake, mountains, and cabin be their wedding decor. Adrienne’s mom created the florals using white blooms and a variety of greenery, including leaves from the aspens on the property. The bride wore a timeless gown paired with natural hair and makeup, tucking a few wisps of willow into her hair right before the ceremony.

After the lakeside ceremony, held under a handmade redwood chuppah, the couple took gorgeous sunset photos on the beach while their families prepared a celebratory outdoor dinner. Colin’s mother prepared her famous lasagna, accompanied by a beautiful challah loaf and wine made by Adrienne’s dad. Dinner was served on family place settings brought from home, on the front porch of the cabin with an unobstructed view of the lake.

Congratulations Adrienne and Colin – it’s a pleasure to feature the stunning simplicity of your lovely and authentic Lake Tahoe microwedding!
