Max and Nikki tied the knot in a romantic lakeside ceremony at Edgewood Tahoe Resort. “I had no idea where life would take me, yet somehow my naive 18-year-old self knew that someday I would marry you,” Nikki said during her vows. The couple met in 2014 at the University of Miami, where they both went to college.

Choosing Lake Tahoe as their wedding destination was easy because Max grew up in Truckee and spent many weekends in Tahoe. So, it has always been a special place for him. He took Nikki there when they first started dating, and she instantly fell in love with the area. From then on, she knew that she wanted to get married there someday.

They kicked the weekend off with Nicky and Max having a rehearsal dinner on a boat to Emerald Bay. So, if you guessed the sunset was an absolute dream, you are absolutely right! According to the couple, a few highlights included their vows, dancing, food, cake pops, and the photo booth. And did you see the cute ways they incorporated their fur baby into the pics? In addition, the couple personalized their wedding decor by carrying the frosted acrylic theme throughout the ceremony and reception.

According to the couple, they would not do a single thing differently. “I recommend that other brides don’t stress about the small stuff. The day goes by so fast, and it’s important to cherish every moment.”
