Lauren and Jon tied the knot on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, and the panoramic lake views at their nature-inspired wedding were nothing short of swoon-worthy.
Lake Tahoe holds a special place in the couples’ hearts, and can you blame them? We honestly can’t think of a better backdrop for their romantic fall wedding!
No wonder a few things caught the eye of their wedding photographer Elsa Boscarello. One of them was Lauren’s blue Jimmy Choo’s, chosen to match Lake Tahoe. Also, instead of a traditional wedding cake, they opted for a Hula Pie!
Despite all of the challenges and uncertainties the duo faced with planning a wedding during COVID-19, it was all worth it. “Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives and one we will never forget. We are so grateful for our family and friends who made the day that much more special and our amazing vendors who made it all possible.”
So, does the couple have any advice for couples planning a wedding? “Before the wedding, be flexible in the planning process and don’t get caught up in the little hiccups. Make a list of three to five aspects of your wedding that are most important to you and plan your wedding around these priorities. Also, get to know your vendors – they are essential to making your wedding day possible, so building a good relationship with them before the wedding is so important. If you are doing your own vows, I highly recommend reading them to your partner on the morning of the wedding; it is a really special personal moment. It takes a lot of pressure off reading them to each other in front of a crowd for the first time. Also, take five minutes during your reception to take a step back from your wedding to take it all in.”
