The Lake!
Find a pier that holds a special memory in your relationship or just a picturesque Tahoe pier. There is nothing more romantic than proposing on a pier on Lake Tahoe. Head down to the lake for a sunset proposal and Tahoe’s glorious pink and orange skies will only add to your moment. Use that amazing backdrop, drop to your knee, and we promise you will be hearing the word YES!
Your Favorite Ski Resort
In case you didn’t know, Lake Tahoe is known for our world-class ski resorts. We love the idea of heading to your favorite chairlift in summer or winter and popping the question at this special spot.
Emerald Bay/Eagle Falls
Emerald Bay is an iconic location in Lake Tahoe. It’s beautiful and there are great trails to hike on around the area as well. One of our favorites is Eagle Falls. Hike up to one of the gorgeous waterfalls and propose right there. What better way to distract from your proposal than taking your love on a hike and surprising them mid-hike!
Sand Harbor
Sand Harbor is an classic spot in Lake Tahoe. The rock formations and incredible Tahoe blue water provide the picture-perfect backdrop for your proposal. Proposing here you have several options for locations. You can propose right on the sand, or walk along one of the many paths and find yourself some seclusion. You can’t wrong at this special spot.
Donner Lake
Oh, how we love Donner Lake. It is a true gem in the Sierra and the perfect place to propose to the love of your life. Hike up to one of the peaks above the lake, or picnic on one of the public piers and you have yourself the perfect location!
High above Lake Tahoe
Take a hike up to your favorite peak. The vistas that Tahoe offer are one of a kind – just like you want your proposal to be! If you hire a photographer to take photos of the proposal, this is a great way to make sure they are hidden when you pop the question. Tahoe is full of amazing views so really the sky is the limit!
