Natalie and Eric were scheduled to get married this summer in front of all their friends and family back home in Costa Mesa, California. They, of course, had to reschedule due to COVID-19, but a last-minute decision to elope in Lake Tahoe on their wedding date turned out to be the best thing that happened all year!

Like so many other couples, Natalie and Eric didn't want to wait another year to start their "forever," especially when the world feels like it is falling apart. While they weren't very familiar with the South Lake Tahoe area, they trusted The Hytch to recommend an absolute gem of a location at Fallen Leaf Lake.

The bride ordered a dress from Lulu's, and they picked up their wedding bands the night before they headed to Tahoe. Nancy Rice Artistry styled Natalie's hair and makeup to perfection for their outdoor ceremony, and Eric looked fantastic in a windowpane suit and brogues. The lush bouquet by Cherry Bomb Florals featured summery shades of coral and peach.

What we love most about this elopement, photographed by Shelby Liz Photography, is the beautifully styled reception for two on the dock. After an incredibly profound exchange of vows, ending with the Parks and Rec quote, "I love you, and I like you," Natalie and Eric were still able to enjoy a champagne toast, appetizers, and cake - a small taste of what their rescheduled 2021 wedding will be.

"The big day we planned with everyone will come next year, but for now, I am cherishing the new memories we made and the fun story we will get to share with our kids one day," Natalie explained. We couldn't agree more - congratulations to this gorgeous couple on their super sweet elopement day!
