Brittany and Matt have a deep love and connection to the Lake Tahoe area. Brittany’s family has lived on the West Shore for generations, so when they became engaged, they knew they wouldn’t be getting married anywhere else. After winning the Tahoe Unveiled engagement session giveaway with photographer Justine Grajski, the couple picked places that held special meaning to them. The session started at Brittany’s family home on the lake, and then up to Barker Pass.
As summers typically do in the Sierra, a thunderstorm had been brewing throughout the day, and by the afternoon it was unloading on the lake. The engagement session was set to massive thunderheads above and rumbles of thunder, and by the time they got up to Barker Pass and began exploring, a double rainbow had formed over the lake. Somehow the rain didn’t make it up to the pass, so the session lasted through the sunset in the fields of lupines, mules ear, and sage still in bloom. It was a beautiful and exciting Lake Tahoe adventure, and Brittany and Matt look forward to their summer wedding at Mitchell’s Meadow this July.
