Sarah and Kevin met in college where they both were studying media and they took the class history of comedy together. It seemed that these two were meant to be because they did not go long without seeing the other. Eventually college came to an end and they went their separate ways a-crossed the country from one another, but not five months later they ran into each other at a Halloween party in Santa Monica. After the party they went on their first date and have been together ever since.
Tahoe for Sarah and Kevin is a representation of them as a couple. They as a couple both have a deep love of all things outdoors, they love the national Parks, hiking, camping, and for Sarah skiing. Tahoe was the obvious choice for their wedding. Most of both their families had to fly out for the wedding so they thought why not make it a destination in a place that felt like their love story. Sarah and Kevin truly made their wedding her own Tahoe dream.
The bride and groom emphasized the need for a private moment before and after the ceremony. Before the ceremony Sarah and Kevin took all their bridesmaids and groomsmen up to their private suite to pop some champagne and unwind before the ceremony. Then after the ceremony Sarah and Kevin took some time alone to rest with one another, and let it sink in that they are now married!
Sarah and Kevin want every couple planning their wedding to remember to put you and your partner at the center of your wedding day. You can get lost in the details of planning and forget that your wedding is about you and your partner. Sarah wisely told us “It’s so easy to get caught up in the details like decor, timelines, and music. While that’s all definitely important, remember it’s about you two coming together in this next chapter of life. The day goes by so fast, so take the opportunity to spend time alone, soak in the moment, and take in the love you both share.” She let us in on the fact that they both needed alone time as newlyweds.
We wish Sarah and Kevin nothing but total happiness and joy! Congratulations to the newlyweds!
