We’re the outdoor-loving husband/wife
team that make VILD Photography.

We love “love” and are wildly passionate about embracing the greater outdoors. Our couples share our passion, are MADLY in love, and usually have some real epic venues/backdrops for their ceremonies to match their full story. Whether you prefer to elope into the deep wilderness, high up in the mountains, or have a more traditional ceremony at your favorite location, we would be honored to document the beginning of something that’s so beautiful and tell your story in a real and honest way. We live to capture all the laughter, tears of joy, and those sweet touches so you can treasure those moments for generations to come.

VILD is truly a marriage between the two of us and would not be the same without the other.

Rob is the main photographer as he has a more creative and artistic mindset as well as more camera-knowledge. He will handle everything that is related to our gear and your images.

M is more business-minded and will handle communication, planning and everything that’s business-related behind the scenes.

Together we compliment each other. that’s simply how our brains are wired and how we work best.

Tell us about your business? What do you do and what makes it special?

We are a husband-wife photography team that specialize in weddings and elopement in the Lake Tahoe area. We capture wild love in wild places. As a yin-and-yang husband/wife duo, we offer our couples a beautiful balance. Rob’s technical knowledge and engineer’s mindset make for images that are impeccably composed, beautifully lit, and pretty darn brilliant—while M’s big-picture approach, organizational acumen, constant accessibility, and awesome communication make for a client experience our couples fall fast in love with, time and time again.

What would you like to share with future couples?

Remember that a wedding day is not a photoshoot. It’s a celebration and a live event so focus on the people that are there with you and have a good time. Then good photos will follow.

What brings you the greatest joy in your life?

Our son Noah. Watching him learn, grow and explore the world around him is the most fascinating and heartwarming feeling we’ve ever had. It’s pure joy and endless entertainment.

What brought you to Tahoe?

Rob was born in South Lake Tahoe and has had family in the area since the 60’s. M was introduced to Tahoe when she met Rob and instantly fell in love with everything it has to offer.

What is a must-see hidden gem in Lake Tahoe?

Eagle Lake is pretty special and not many people know where it is or that you can even get out there.

Describe Lake Tahoe to someone that has never been here.

Imagine a place where tropical beaches and crystal clear waters meet steep alpine mountains where you can boat, ski, bike and explore for a lifetime and still never tire of the views. That’s Tahoe.

Tahoe lifestyle: winter or summer?

We both actually love Fall the most but if we had to choose we like the winters more than summers. The most beautiful thing is when the basin has a blanket of snow and the lake is calm and bright blue. It’s just magical.

If you were not a Photographers, what would you do?

Rob would probably work in the music industry as he’s an exceptional drummer and spent a lot of years growing up in Nashville playing in bands etc. M would probably be working within hospitality/tourism at a high end resort or ranch. It’s what she spent

years doing before moving to Tahoe.

What inspires your work?

The landscape that surrounds us.

What is a fun fact about your company?

The first wedding we ever photographed was a ski-wedding in CO because the couple had asked if we also know how to ski.

What’s the most useless talent you have?

Rob can chug a water bottle in the matter of a split second.

What is the closest thing to real magic?

Mother Nature.

What is your go-to activity to do outside of work?

Hiking and biking. We spend 2-3 hours daily walking/hiking or biking around our trails and mountains. We have a very high-energy dog that requires the exercise and we’re happy to be outside whenever we can.

What kind of wedding guest are you?

The casual ones who will be the first in line to try all the appetizers, dinner, drinks and desserts.

Any song you can add to our brides’ and grooms’ budding wedding playlist?

Johnnie Taylor – Just the One (I’ve been looking for)

Working in the wedding industry is not for the faint of heart. So how do you rest and rejuvenate?

We spend a lot of time outdoors. It’s so healing and refreshing. Most our days start with a real “brunch like breakfast” followed by a family walk of at least an hour before we even dive into any work we have to do.

What is something people might not know about you?

That we also own an art gallery in South Lake Tahoe Village Center called Twilight and Rust SLT featuring all of Rob’s Landscape Photography.

Any four-legged friends in your home?

Yes! We have 2 cats, Rascal and Tattoo and a dog, ISO, he’s a Vizsla. They all have very strong personalities and are just the the most fun creatures to have in our house.
