To La Lune took to the beautiful shores of Lake Tahoe for this organic, minimalist styled shoot and we absolutely cannot get enough of the design. The simplicity of muted neutral colors against the Lake Tahoe backdrop is enough to make any heart melt because even on an overcast day this place, that we are lucky enough to call home, makes for the perfect backdrop.
From the event designers, To La Lune ~
Lake Tahoe was the perfect backdrop for our organic minimalist editorial shoot. Sprawling open fields, wooded rocky paths, and that ever so stunning blue lake enabled us to tell a story of raw beauty taking multiple forms.
When designing an event or shoot it is so important to take the existing landscape into consideration. With such a dramatically gorgeous natural setting, we chose to keep our design elements as neutral and unobtrusive as possible. It is so easy to go overboard for design, but when you are gifted with such incredible views, ultimately less is more!
A favorite element from the day, which added a surprise shift in form, ended up being the shift in weather. Starting the day with blue skies, the weather quickly transition to the most magical thunderstorm that swept over the entire lake! Watching the thunder clouds roll in we were reminded of the ever evolving beauty in mother nature.
