Donuts, S’mores & more. Why you should consider have a secondary dessert station

A wedding is not complete without some sort of sweet treat at the end of the night and who says it has to be cake! We are loving these additions to a traditional wedding cake station. A secondary dessert station is not only a way to double up on dessert, but is a way to share your favorite sweet treat with your guests. It also creates a way for guests to interact with each other and you in a fun way such as roasting s’mores.

Donuts:

Who doesn’t love a good donut or donut hole? This sweet treat can be a tasty grab and go snack anytime during the night and including in-between songs on the dance floor. We suggest getting a variety of flavors or have chocolate sauce, sprinkles and other toppings guests can dip into.

S’mores

This is a great idea especially for an outdoor mountain wedding. If you and your partner love to camp, roasting s’mores is a way to bring that into your reception. Get creative with different flavor marshmallows and different toppings such as chocolate, candies and caramel!

Popcorn

Popcorn is a great way to please the sweet and savory cravings of all your guests. Some of our sweet suggestions include: caramel corn, kettle corn, cinnamon sugar and chocolate dipped. While some of our favorite savory suggestions include: garlic, rosemary, cheese and chili-spiced. If you can’t decide on just a few types of popcorn, create a make your own station with a variety of toppings! Don’t forget to include cute popcorn buckets or bags so guests can take the treats back to their table or onto the dance floor.

Candy or Trail Mix Bar

Have a sweet tooth? A candy station is not only a great way to tie your wedding colors into your dessert but also to add yours and your loved ones favorite sweet treat into the reception. If you’re a lover of the outdoors turn your candy buffet into a trail mix buffet for a slightly healthier take on dessert, either way it’s sure to be a hit with your guests.
