Dark Romance: Darker Wedding Colors Are All The Rage

Who says wedding colors have to be bright, light or pastel? Moodier colors like black, crimson and dark green inspire a bolder more unique style. With the surrounding forests of Lake Tahoe, it is the perfect setting to draw inspiration from nature and create an organic, romantic look with the colors around you.

Darker table decorations can make your tables look more intimate, as well as create a cozier environment for your guests. We are loving darker candles such as forest green or deep purple that really stand out against the flame. Fur (or faux fur) is another way to make your tables cozier and is a great way to keep warm on those chilly Tahoe nights! Antlers (or fake antlers) are a decorative touch that will not only add dimension to your table, but really pair well with the dark romantic theme.

Darker accessories such as darker color wraps or shawls or dark jewelry are another great way to get creative with incorporating darker colors into your wedding. We find that gold accents against dark colors really pairs well together. Look also for inspiration from nature such as marble, moss, feathers and trees to inspire you to create a bold organic look.

The natural beauty of Lake Tahoe is what draws people to the area so why not utilize the beautiful colors around you. The darker theme of your wedding will complement the dark colors of nature and the area around you and create a look you won’t regret and your guests won’t forget.
