Classic & Elegant Lake Tahoe Wedding at Valhalla Grand Hall

Laid back but with a background in event planning (and help from planner Liane McCombs), Lauren’s classy, yet comfortable vision came together beautifully at Valhalla Grand Hall in South Lake Tahoe. With the house Kevin grew up in just a few minutes away, the Tahoe area was an easy pick for their nuptials. Captured by Courtney Aaron and florals byArt in Bloom, this Valhalla wedding could not have been more beautiful.

Lauren and Kevin began their relationship in the workplace and soon it grew into something much more than co-workers. Think Jim and Pam from the office. Having to keep tight-lipped about it, Kevin would send Lauren flowers with a note from code name “Mr. Jones.” They started talking a lot about Mr. and Mrs. Jones, if Mr. and Mrs. Jones enjoyed the weekend, if Mrs, Jones wanted to go to dinner tonight, etc. When the story was told during their ceremony, by their longtime friend who officiated, he looked up and DJ Eli cued the song we all know from Billy Pail, “Me and Mrs. Jones” The whole room burst out with cheer! (Who doesn’t love a little R&B halfway through a ceremony?!)

To keep in theme of their laid back wedding, they wanted to keep things as easy as possible. A quick first look and after the ceremony, maximized time with their guests, dinner under the pines by Bella Tahoe and toasts as the sun set over the lake. It was everything an outdoor August wedding in Tahoe should be.

A note from the Bride:

Why Tahoe?

“Tahoe holds a special place in the hearts of both bride and groom. Kevin spent several childhood years living only a few miles from Valhalla. Both Lauren and her dad spent college summer vacations living and working in South Lake Tahoe. As a result of their experiences, the entire Brock family spends part of their summer vacations in Incline annually to take advantage of all that beautiful lake has to offer.”
