A recent wedding trend we are seeing more and more of is camp themed weddings. We are here to tell you that Lake Tahoe is the perfect location for this fun filled wedding theme. With the lake so close and the plethora of activities to do in the surrounding area Camp Tahoe is fun and sure to be a weekend your guests won’t forget. Here are some tips we suggest to make your wedding in Camp Tahoe a smashing success!
Come up with a camp name. Similar to a wedding hashtag, a camp name is something everyone can get into. A mixture of your first names or your soon to be last name is a good place to start. We also suggest you start the camp theme starting at your invitations, to let people know what’s going on and to get them excited for a weekend of adventures! Lake Tahoe is a destination wedding for most people and so it naturally sets itself up to be a wedding weekend which is perfect for all of the activities.
Camp games. Who doesn’t love a good camp game? Whether it’s a day of fun and games down at the Lake before your wedding or a good game of corn hole during the reception, there are so many ways to incorporate games into your weekend. Games are also a great way to get your guests to interact with each other and get to know one another.
Actually camping. While this might not be everyone’s cup of tea, there are a ton of campsites around the Tahoe area. Find one near your venue and let people know so they can all book campsites together! A camp cookout including s’mores is always a good idea as well.
