An Intimate Tahoe Wedding with Epic Views

Texas lovebirds Sophia and Stephen are a perfect example of the many different ways to make a Lake Tahoe wedding your own. With all the special moments captured by The Boundys, this couple selected a unique venue and paired it with great style and DIY details for an unforgettable wedding day high above the lake.

Perched atop Kingsbury Grade in South Lake Tahoe, the Tahoe Blue Estate is an 8000 square foot rental home on 1.7 acres with the most spectacular panoramic views of the lake and Heavenly Ski Resort. This perfectly private venue accommodates up to 75 wedding guests, with sleeping accommodations for 22.

With the help of her friends and family, Sophia put together all of her own florals and we especially love the way she paired deep green foliage with fiery orange blooms to add a natural spark of color to the surrounding views. Clearly this is a bride with serious style – her wide brimmed hat and custom neckpiece/cape absolutely stole the show on wedding day!

For the ceremony, Sophia’s step dad walked her to her dad, who then walked her the rest of the way down the aisle. Her grandmother read a beautiful poem, bringing everyone to tears, and then Sophia and Stephen said “I do” overlooking one of the most beautiful vistas in the world.

The intimacy of this special wedding was met with an equal measure of fun, with lots of dancing and, of course, a healthy dose of Texas pride. Go Aggies – and congratulations Sophia and Stephen!
