An Exquisite Private Estate Lakefront Wedding In Incline Village

What does a stunning, contemporary wedding on the shores of Lake Tahoe look like? Taylor and Sean’s private estate wedding in Incline Village sets the bar for modern, lakefront elegance.

Working with boutique Lake Tahoe wedding planner One Fine Day Events (OFD), the couple offered their guests a series of exquisitely crafted moments, beginning with a custom boxed invitation suite. The clear acrylic invitation rested artfully on a nest of green feather moss, referencing the palatial, forested estate property where Taylor and Sean would be wed.

On wedding day, guests excitedly arrived by shuttle to the estate’s park-like front lawn area. Walking through the property’s grand gates into the “park,” dotted with towering pines, they were greeted with cocktails and live music provided by The Bayberry Cast.

Soon, Taylor and her bridal party, all dressed in stylish white gowns, arrived at the estate by vintage Rolls Royce. As the proceedings began, the bridesmaids joined the groomsmen in a grand entrance through the garden, down the steps, and onto the waterfront deck.

The bride had always envisioned a lakefront ceremony but wanted to avoid walking through the sand, so the event rental experts at Celebrations were hired to build a custom elevated deck that was installed over the beach and water. OFD’s production crew covered the decking with gray wood flooring to polish the look.

For the reception, OFD Principal Planner Vanessa created a completely custom design that represented a dynamic shift from the traditional wedding table arrangement. Celebrations Event Rentals was again contracted to create a set of wood cabanas, built to OFD’s specifications, for the guests’ lakeside dinner experience.

Unbeknownst to the arriving guests, the house was creating a wind buffer for a weather pattern blowing through North Lake Tahoe and the planning team was busy holding down the decor while everyone mingled on the front lawn! When the weather calmed down, the saxophone and guitar players escorted the guests to the backyard to enjoy a panoramic view of the lake.

Within each cabana was a long dining table from Found Rentals, accented with dining chairs and place settings from Theoni Collection. Elegant draping, custom-made bistro chandeliers featuring bulbs of various sizes, and overhead dried flower “clouds” completed the modern, romantic design.

The sound of the waves crashing on the shore along with the completely uninterrupted view of Lake Tahoe created a spectacular scene for Taylor and Sean’s beautiful wedding ceremony. Following the ceremony, guests were invited back to the lawn to enjoy passed tacos, cocktails, and more music from The Bayberry Cast.

After dinner, Taylor, Sean, and their guests danced the night away on a black dance floor situated in the center of the dining area – with an incredible view of the lake and bistro lighting strung overhead. The bar area also featured a custom neon sign with the couple’s Instagram hashtag – #TaylorMadeforSean.

After the revelry, the wedding-goers were no doubt hungry once again. As the celebration ended, they were each given a branded tote box filled with a cheeseburger, old-school glass bottle of Coca-Cola, and french fries to enjoy on the shuttle ride back to the hotel.

And that, dear readers, is how you do a stylish and contemporary Tahoe wedding – filled with innovative details from beginning to end that made the couple, their guests, and the lake itself the stars of the show.

Please note this wedding is pre-covid.
