From the moment Alex and Marissa met at the Lake Tahoe restaurant Alex owned, they knew it was an instant perfect fit–and their unspoken connection was so apparent throughout the entire wedding day. During the duo’s early dating years, they would share weekend getaways together in Northern California’s picturesque Amador County, where they spent sun-soaked days touring wineries. Their connection to and love for the area made it an ideal location for their destination wedding.
The duo chose the stunning Amador Cellars Winery as the venue for their celebration and it ended up making for the perfect backdrop for such an unforgettable affair. The ceremony was held outside on a sprawling lawn lined with age-old trees, and the ground’s natural beauty meant it didn’t need a ton of dressing up. To frame the altar area, the team at One Fine Day Events brought in simple ivory drapery and massive olive-leaf garlands, which created such a soft and understated space and ultimately helped to keep the attention on the stunning bride and her handsome groom.
The couple chose to incorporate Jewish wedding traditions in the ceremony to celebrate Marissa’s family heritage, which made for such special moments for friends and family to witness. Guests then moved inside to the vineyard’s striking barn for a night of dinner, drinks, and dancing.
