A Small Yet Sophisticated Lake Tahoe Microwedding

Jacquelin had dreamt of getting married in Lake Tahoe ever since she was a little girl and that wish came true last summer when she and Caleb eloped on a dock overlooking Tahoe’s deep blue waters. Following the ceremony, the couple celebrated with a small circle of friends and family who described the affair as “a Pinterest-perfect” micro wedding.

We’d have to agree, starting with a super stylish bride and groom. Jacquelin’s strapless corset gown with a gauzy cape veil was both minimalist and romantic, the perfect complement to Caleb’s modern take on black tie. The couple also requested that the wedding party and guests wear black, lending the entire event a sophisticated cocktail-party vibe.

Blue Sky Events assisted Jacquelin and Caleb in creating an elegant yet intimate environment in the backyard of the rustic cabin that served as their venue. Voluminous florals in shades of pink and coral by Holly Fleur adorned the hardwood farmhouse tables in the clear reception tent, connecting the celebration to the forest outside. Gold lounge furniture, flatware, and table accents sparkled under the string lighting and further elevated the vibe. A delicious menu was delivered by Reno-based Blend Catering.

Ashley Clayton Photography captured the couple’s beautiful portraits and all the pretty details, demonstrating once again that a small wedding can also be so very special.
