A vintage cottage, soft blush florals, and a stunning setting surrounded by national forest were the recipe for Alexa and Stephen’s wedding at Mitchells Mountain Meadows.
Stephen and Alexa met in college attending a country music concert. After dancing the evening away, they knew marriage was in their future. When it came to choosing a wedding location, Tahoe was their first choice and for obvious reasons, “it is so incredibly beautiful” shares Alexa.
Photographer Calvin Hobson captures all the personal details that Alexa and Stephen put into this day to really make it perfect. From the custom flask for the groomsmen to the personalized champagne flutes, the matching tank tops and silky robes for the bridesmaids, we are in awe!
If you are looking for a thoughtful gift for your groom, Stephen shares with us his special moment. Before the ceremony, one of Alexa’s bridesmaids brought him a handwritten note, “Don’t be late, love your bride” with a dapper watch engraved with a special note on the back “I love you always.” Talk about wedding day goals!
The picturesque meadow was like a true fairy tale and the perfect backdrop for this photogenic couple. We are in love with the whimsical photos in which Calvin shoots the sun peering through the trees and the flourishing wildflowers.
Towards the end of the night, everyone was on the dance floor and boogieing the night away to music from the All About The Music band. Alexa and Stephen held each other with pure euphoria. Alexa reminisces with us, “We both cried tears of joy and just had an overwhelming amount of happiness. We were finally married and surrounded by all our loved ones. It was the best feeling in the world and we’ll never forget it.”
