A Modern Romantic Fall Wedding In The Lost Sierra

Kiersten and Eddie are an East Coast – West Coast pairing (she’s from Northern California, he’s from Queens) that fully embraced the magic of getting married in the mountains.

The couple selected Chalet View Lodge, a mountain resort in the Lost Sierra, to celebrate their wedding with their bicoastal families and friends. Opting for a Fall celebration, they hosted a Halloween party two nights before the wedding and a cozy s’mores party around the Lodge’s fire pit after the rehearsal dinner.

For the wedding itself, Kiersten and Eddie chose a color palette filled with Autumn colors and a design vision with just the right amount of drama. The bride’s smooth updo showed off her fabulous, asymmetrical statement earrings she designed herself, and the bridal party’s jewel-toned dresses played up the pops of color in the florals and bouquet. The real show-stopper was Kiersten’s dress that she designed along with wedding dress designer Samantha Sleeper.

The floral arch for the ceremony was dotted with oversized mixed media flowers – so absolutely stunning and unique! Kiersten’s off the shoulder gown had a gracefully “undone” feel that carried through to the reception’s gorgeous tablescape. The brass flatware, black candles, and a lounge area with leather and velvet textures are all giving us serious “modern romance” vibes.

For all the emphasis on style, Kiersten and Eddie made sure their wedding was fun, too. They did the Dirty Dancing lift at the reception and their guests busted out a surprise All You Need Is Love singalong complete with kazoos. Of course, the Epics Photo Booth kept everyone smiling and laughing, too.

The couple also lost their marriage license the morning after the wedding which is always a sign of a good time!

Congratulations Kiersten and Eddie – your stylish celebration reminds us why Fall weddings in the Sierra are always a good idea!
