Emily and Jud are high school sweethearts from a small town in Northern California that also share a love of Lake Tahoe. After a romantic surprise engagement in Victoria, BC, they began planning their dream wedding by the lake at the Beach Retreat and Lodge in South Lake Tahoe.
This venue offers a peaceful beach setting with unobstructed views of Tahoe’s famous boulders and blue waters. Because Emily and Jud chose a Fall wedding date, they were also able to avoid the peak summer season crowds.
VILD Photography captured all the special moments of this wedding, including exquisite sunset portraits on the pier. Emily wore pearls and a traditional gown with a gorgeous open back. Her hair and makeup were styled to perfection by Salon Bella Vita.
The voluminous rose and eucalyptus florals by Hydrangea Bloom were a focal point of their beautiful ceremony on the beach. For the reception, elegantly simple white place settings allowed the tablescape florals to shine.
Not surprisingly, since Emily and Jud met as kids and still love to do everything fun together, their wedding had the biggest and most delicious looking donut bar we’ve ever seen – courtesy of The Donut Nook. Already together for 10 years, we wish this sweet couple the very best as they start this new chapter of their life together!
