A Chic and Magical Wedding at White Wolf

Emily and Levi’s summer wedding at the legendary White Wolf property near Alpine Meadows is so beautiful we’re truly breathless! Photographed by Kay Kroshus, the couple’s “boho-chic dinner party magically dropped in the middle of the woods” inspiration was planned to perfection by Audere Events.

The groom lived in Tahoe a decade ago and, as what started as a secret office romance blossomed, Emily and Levi began visiting the area together, skiing, snowboarding, and bonding on the long drives from San Francisco. Like so many couples, it was an easy decision for them to get married in one of their favorite places on earth and share the magic of Lake Tahoe with their loved ones.

The White Wolf venue naturally offers a Tahoe mountain atmosphere with abundant granite, tall trees, and even a private lake. But small design elements like a Chinese calligraphy sign made by Emily’s mom, bookmark escort cards (the couple shares a love of reading), and a rug Emily and Levi purchased while traveling in Morocco provided refined and personal touches to their outdoor affair.

The wedding florals by Love and Lupines were a showstopper, with bouquets of King protea, roses, and dahlias in dusty pinks with pops of black. And the most gorgeous, feathery pampas grass urns framed the ceremony at the edge of the lake. These same flowers were placed individually on the long dining tables, complementing the elegant place settings in tones of copper and Tahoe blue.

Speaking of blue, the groom and his wedding party all sported slim blue suits with light blush ties. Emily’s party all wore various blush hues and the bride looked absolutely stunning in a plunging neckline strapless gown. The style factor at this wedding was seriously off the charts!

But beyond the design details and style, the mega-watt smiles of this sweet couple as they danced on boulders in the middle of the lake were the highlight of the celebration. Congratulations Emily and Levi – your Tahoe wedding is one of our favorites we’ve seen!
