At first we didn’t think we needed a wedding planner, but at my mother-in-laws urging, we decided to hire Stephanie and I couldn’t be more grateful that we did. Throughout the planning process Stephanie was very supportive of our vision and had a number of helpful suggestions. Most important was her on-site coordination for the rehearsal dinner and wedding day festivities. Honestly, I don’t even know all of the millions of details she helped take care of. I didn’t have to. My husband and I were free to enjoy ourselves, which was such a wonderful gift.
Our wedding took place outdoors on the north shore of Lake Tahoe and two hours before the ceremony was scheduled to begin, the wind kicked up and it began raining. I was just starting to panic when Stephanie came in with an hour-by-hour weather report and a back-up plan. She had already ordered a fourth wall for the reception tent, replaced the ice that was ruined by the wind blowing sand into it, and helped the caterers protect the food. All I had to do was sit back and relax with my bridesmaids.
Of course the sun came out in time for our ceremony and everything was perfect, but I don’t know what we would have done without Stephanie. She worked from behind the scenes to make the whole event flow seamlessly. I hardly knew she was there, and yet I don’t know how we would have managed if she wasn’t. I would highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding. You may not think you need her, but you do!

Stephanie, you were an asset for our daughter’s wedding. Hiring you was the best decision we made. Thank you for everything.

I would like to say that Stephanie with One Fine Day was amazing! We had a very logistically challenging wedding (ceremony outside on top of Squaw Mountain in the snow, with the aerial tram taking people back and forth). Stephanie handled all elements of our wedding professionally and gracefully, with ease. In addition, she went so far above and beyond what we expected (and what we hired her for). I was a pretty organized, somewhat demanding bride, and Stephanie was able to accommodate all my wishes and allowed my family and I to just sit back and enjoy our wedding. Because of her, we did not have to constantly troubleshoot problems or worry about minor setbacks. In summary, I would hire her again in an instant.
She responded to my questions (via email or phone) immediately. In fact, it was usually within minutes of when I tried to reach her.
I would give Stephanie the highest rating and recommendation. She is organized, professional, confident, and assertive, yet she is also calm, fun, and relaxed. Sharing your wedding day with planners and vendors is a somewhat intimate thing, but Stephanie fit right in.
My biggest advice in hiring a coordinator is to get to know them, as you are doing now. Make sure they come highly recommended, and that they seem organized and knowledgeable. For my wedding, I spoke to several coordinators before hiring Stephanie. Many were very knowledgeable and clearly had experience in the industry, yet they were too opinionated, too controlling, or too sterile. I felt comfortable and compatible with Stephanie right away. She made it clear that she was able and willing to help with every aspect of the wedding, yet also allowed for me to do the things, which I wanted to have control over. She was perfect.
