People in the 50’s and 60’s sure knew how to party, and that’s all we really all want out of a wedding right? A fun time for us to get together with friends and family to celebrate love. Mid-Century design is making a serious comeback in the design world and we are loving incorporating it into our wedding themes. Below are a handful of mid-century modern wedding trends we’re loving right now.

Bo·he·mi·an bōˈhēmēən/ A person who lives or acts free of regard for conventional rules and practices.
So, we know these are not technically “beach” wedding invitation but we loved them so much we needed to include them in our list. We love the idea of taking this style of invitation but going with a beach theme, rather than a mountain theme.
We love the use of drift wood and florals for your bohemian beach wedding alter because they add a little extra flair to a beach ceremony. Plus they look absolutely beautiful in photos.
HAIR & MAKE-UP
The whole idea behind bohemian wedding hair and makeup is to go for a natural look. For make-up, we love the idea of bright eyes and a nude or light pink lip. As far as hair goes, your bohemian beach wedding is the perfect time to incorporate florals and hair pieces into your look. We’re loving delicate metal hair pieces and flower crowns!
DRESS & SHOES
In true bohemian fashion we love the idea of going barefoot for your beach wedding. BUT, girls do love their shoes so we love the idea of swapping shoes for some ankle or foot jewelry. For dresses, we are loving low backs, capped sleeves and draping fabric.
As far as the grooms fashion at your bohemian beach wedding goes we are loving succulent boutonnières, suspenders and skinny ties.

Traditionally, when the words flowers and weddings are used in the same sentence our minds immediately go to bridals bouquets and table centerpieces. Floral trends, and specifically summer floral wedding trends, have recently expanded their reach far beyond their original realm and into more unique venues.
We have compiled a list of 4 of these seemingly non-traditional ways to incorporate flowers into you summer wedding, because lets be honest: is their anything more summery than fresh flowers? EVERYWHERE!!
1-Bridal Party Dresses
Over the years we’ve seen trends where bridal parties wear different style of a dress in the same color, or dresses in variations of the same color tone. This summer we are noticing a trend in floral bridal party dress, often the same shape, as seen in this image, but in different colors of the same floral scheme. We love this trend for your summer wedding!

2- Hanging Décor
We gravitated toward this beautiful summer floral wedding décor specifically because of the simple, mostly white table centerpieces. That way, your eye is immediately drawn to the hanging flower arrangements. By hanging your flowers from the ceiling you are able to incorporate more color than you originally thought possible, without being too overwhelming.
3-Floral Hair Pieces
This flower hairpiece is a new take on the ever-popular floral crown. We especially love the idea of having the bridal party wear their bouquets in the hair, rather than carrying them down the aisle.
The beauty of using a floral invitation theme is that each element of your invitation can have many or as few flowers as you want. We practically loved this invitation set because they were able to use the floral theme without going overboard. For example, the RSVP cards have only a few floral notes, while the event invitation and envelope are stunning and loaded with beautiful pink flowers.

So, I have to admit, I’m a film buff. Although my indie roots draw me to the Sundance Film Festival I can’t wait to see what fashion statements will be made on The Oscars’ red carpet . There were so many looks I loved from the 2015 Oscars, from the gorgeous Emma Stone in Elie Saab to Oprah Winfrey in Vera Wang Collection. I can’t wait to see these styles transition to weddings.

Gentlemen, it’s true: I am a sucker for a guy in a vest. Any color, any material, any style, I just love this oft-forgotten article of clothing. I don’t know whether it is the flattering cut, the fancy buttons, or the dapper look, but a man who can wear a vest well is swoon-worthy indeed. With that being said, men, here is some inspiration to help you impress your beautiful brides. Just take a hint from Joseph Gordon Levitt…

1. The Rich Lip
Classic, bold and brave, this look is for the fearless bride who is willing to go the extra mile. Upkeep is necessary to maintain this look and keep the color in place for several hours. This rich lip makes quite an impression, never to be forgotten.
2. The Soft Smoky Eye
A combination of rich browns, golds, mustards and plums, this look welcomes romance with a hint of mystery. It’s one of the most requested bridal makeup looks we get during wedding season. With the smoky eye, you are the definition of stunning.
3. The Natural, Glowing Bride, AKA the Traditional Bride
This soft, well blended, balanced look is for brides who don’t fuss. They appreciate traditions and simplicity and prefer the makeup evenly placed with a hint of color, looking oh so lovely.
