Photo booths have become the “must have” accessory for weddings, but they have become so popular that they are starting to lose the instant gratification and nostalgic response. So, we asked photographer, Catherine Hall Studios to give us her thoughts on how to keep the photo booth interactive, exciting, and different! Her response, “No photographer, setup an unconventional photo booth! Have the pros set up a photo booth and let the guest take charge! Set up a shutter release camera that will allow your guests to take control of their own photos by simply pressing a button.”

Catherine also suggests framing the photo with props such as a couch or vintage chic rug that will define the area where your guests can interact. Giving your guests the control also reduces the pressure from posing in front of a photographer … and it helps them be a little spontaneous! With fewer inhibitions, people can just be themselves and this ultimately will produce entertaining and very cool images!
