From Matt Theilen, photographer-
Heidi and Quinn’s beautiful wedding took place at a private beach on the North shore of Lake Tahoe and the reception was held at the West Shore Café. The day began as any other summer day in Tahoe–clear blue skies. As Heidi finished putting her dress on the thunderclouds were moving across the lake and we thought for sure it was going to pour and we’d have to move to a plan-b ceremony site somewhere inside… The clouds just grew darker and darker but stayed on the South end of the lake, which actually made for some of the best light for photographs that we ever get up here.
The ceremony site was garnished with hand-made signage and a giant set of hearts with Heidi and Quinn’s initials in the sand made from rocks, driftwood and pinecones found nearby. After the ceremony, the bride and groom jumped in a Quinn’s family boat and took a slow ride across the lake to the West Shore Café where they met up with the bridal party and family for an evening of dancing and feasting on a medley of tasty treats from the Café’s kitchen.
