Ritz-Carlton hosts a dinner at Manzanita with early seatings from 5 to 6:30 p.m. with a special a la carte menu, and a buffet available from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Pines Ballroom for $95, $35 ages 4 to 10, free under 4. Or, enjoy a special four-course menu from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. with a champagne toast, music, party favors and dancing. Reservations (530) 562-3000.
West Shore Café hosts a New Year’s Eve dinner with a prix-fixe holiday menu, champagne, party favors and live music. Family reservations from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for all ages for $75 adults, $25 children. Party reservations from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. for adults only are $100 and include noisemakers, post-dinner live music and a complimentary glass of champagne for the New Year’s toast. Northstar - live music from 1 to 3 p.m. on the Village Stage, a Ripperroo Parade for all ages at 5 p.m., “An Evening with Led Zeppelin 2: The Experience” from 7 to 9 p.m. and fireworks at 9 p.m. Enjoy Cabana Bar drink specials all evening. The Highlands Gondola to the Ritz-Carlton will be closed from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. due to the fireworks show, with a shuttle offered during that time. Jake’s On the Lake hosts a New Year’s Eve a la carte menu from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. for $28 to $31 per person, with a kids’ menu available for $20. A three-course prix-fixe menu will be offered from 7:30 to 9:15 p.m. for $51 to $86 per person, with a champagne toast and dancing. Reservations (530) 583-0188.
Crystal Bay Casino hosts a New Year’s Eve party starting at 9 p.m. with Jackie Greene and special guest Jabe Beyer, as well as an after party with the Whitney Myer Band in the Crown Room. $45.
Cal Neva hosts the 5th Annual Black & White Super Ball featuring live music all night starting at 9 p.m. and a celebration at midnight. 21+ only. $40 advance, $50 at the door. Tickets www.freshbakin.com.
